Cabinet 2026

Mayor Jason Perry has announced his new Cabinet team for the new Mayoral term, bringing together experience, delivery and a renewed focus on the priorities that matter most to residents: safer streets, stronger communities, sound finances and restoring pride in Croydon.

The new Cabinet will help drive forward Mayor Jason Perry’s agenda over the next four years, including continued investment in parks and playgrounds, a zero tolerance approach to crime and anti-social behaviour, cleaner streets and neighbourhoods, better housing and protecting frontline services.

  • Mayor Jason Perry has reappointed Councillor Lynne Hale as statutory Deputy Executive Mayor and Cabinet Member for Homes. Over the past four years, Lynne has led major work to improve Croydon’s housing stock, working closely with tenants, driving forward the Regina Road redevelopment programme.
  • Councillor Jason Cummings will remain Cabinet Member for Finance and will also become Deputy Executive Mayor in recognition of the key role he has played in the Mayor’s Leadership team. He will continue the work stabilising Croydon’s finances and restoring financial discipline at the Council.
  • Councillor Yvette Hopley remains Cabinet Member for Health and Adult Social Care, continuing her work supporting some of the borough’s most vulnerable residents through her extensive experience and expertise in the sector. In October 2025, Croydon’s Adult Social Care and Heath Service was rated ‘Good’ by the Care Quality Commission.
  • Councillor Ola Kolade will continue leading on Croydon’s community safety agenda, alongside taking responsibility for relationships with the voluntary sector, faith groups and Croydon’s communities. Under the administration’s zero tolerance approach, overall crime in Croydon has fallen by 4.1% over the past year, with some of the most serious offences seeing significant reductions. Since 2023, knife crime has fallen by 24%, personal robbery by 29% and burglaries by 19%.
  • Councillor Robert Ward joins the Cabinet as Member for Parks and Culture and will help lead Mayor Perry’s commitment to invest in our parks and green spaces. This will include delivering 16 new playgrounds and 16 new outdoor gyms across the borough over the next four years.
  • Councillor Andy Stranack will take on responsibility for Children and Young People. A respected former youth worker, Andy brings significant frontline experience and a strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing young people across the borough. In October 2024, Croydon Council was awarded a ‘Good’ by Ofsted for its Children’s Social Care.
  • Councillor Alasdair Stewart joins the Cabinet as Member for Streets and Enforcement. Alasdair has built a reputation as a hardworking and detail-focused Councillor and will spearhead the Council’s tougher enforcement approach on issues including fly-tipping, Blue Badge fraud, graffiti, parking violations, abandoned vehicles and illegal e-scooters.
  • Councillor Jeet Bains remains Cabinet Member for Planning - and will take on the supervision of Regulatory Services. He will continue working to ensure planning decisions reflect the views of local residents and protect the character of Croydon’s neighbourhoods.

Mayor Jason Perry said:

“This is a Cabinet focused on delivery.

“Over the past four years we have stabilised the Council, restored financial discipline and begun restoring pride in Croydon. But there is still much more to do.

“I have appointed a team with the experience, energy and determination to keep moving Croydon forward, stand up for residents and deliver on the priorities people care about most.”

The new Cabinet is as follows:

  • Mayor Jason Perry, Executive Mayor of Croydon;
  • Cllr Lynne Hale, Deputy Executive Mayor (Statutory) and Cabinet Member for Homes;
  • Cllr Jason Cummings, Deputy Executive Mayor and Cabinet Member for Finances;
  • Cllr Alasdair Stewart, Cabinet Member for Streets and Enforcement;
